Eco Material Opens New York Terminal

Eco Material Technologies opened its Blissville Rail Terminal in Queens, N.Y., to enable the supply of sustainable cement alternatives to the New York metro area, supporting the region’s growing construction needs.

The terminal will utilize rail transportation, including New York & Atlantic’s local infrastructure, to efficiently deliver 50,000 tons of harvested fly ash annually and sustainable cementitious materials. These materials can replace up to 25% of portland cement in standard concrete mixes, with Eco Material’s proprietary technologies allowing for up to 100% replacement in select applications.

“The opening of the Blissville Terminal reinforces Eco Material’s leadership in sustainable innovation and a major step in our efforts to expand access to low-carbon cement alternatives in all major metro areas,” said Grant Quasha, CEO of Eco Material Technologies. “By strengthening our presence in New York, we can better serve future infrastructure projects with innovative materials that reduce reliance on traditional portland cement and imported steel slag. Utilizing rail transportation streamlines delivery and aligns with our mission to advance sustainable solutions for the construction industry.”

The Blissville Terminal will be operated by Precision Terminal Logistics in partnership with Eco Material.
